Casimero versus Fuentes weigh-in scheduled on May 2 at SM City Cebu
PhilBoxing.com Mon, 28 Apr 2014

?Pinoy Knockout? boxers John Riel Casimero, the reigning IBF Junior Flyweight champion and Colombian fighter Mauricio Fuentes will have an initial face-off during the weigh-in on May 2, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the SM City Cebu Food Court.
Aside from these two boxers for the main event, Dela Torre and Tubigon for the WBF International Championship, Jhack Tepora and Joash Aparicio for the WBF Asia Pacific Championship, and the rest of the boxers for the supporting bouts will also be present during the pre-fight weigh-in. Also present in the event are officials from GAB and IBF, promoters, and media personnel.
With a record of 19 wins, 11 KOs, and 2 defeats, Casimero crosses fingers as he will face Mauricio Fuentes of Colombia. Two years ago, Casimero?s name became an instant hit more than his successful fight against Argentinean tormentor Luis Albert Lazarte because of the commotion during the post fight. Fuentes, on one hand, is expected to show a good fight despite not being as popular as other boxers in the world boxing division.
?He may not be as popular as the others, but it can also be an advantage on their part because we?ll have a difficulty in assessing his strengths and capabilities,? Pingping Tepora, Casimero?s head trainer, quipped.
Happening on May 3, 2014 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, ?Pinoy Knockout? is presented by Omega Pain Killer Liniment and TV-5?the official media partner.
