Undefeated 2-division World Champion Rom?n "Chocolatito" Gonz?lez (38-0, 32 KO's) of Nicaragua held a running session early Sunday morning at Kitanomaru Park, located 300 meters from the Grand Palace Hotel where the Nicaraguan warrior stays.

The temperature early morning at Kitamoru Park was 16 degrees Celsius, quite cold compared to the temperature "Chocolatito" Gonz?lez is used to in his Central American country, Nicaragua.

After completing his first sweating of the day, Gonzalez went back to the Grand Palace for breakfast with eggs, fruits, coffee, bread and went back to his room to rest so as to ready for the next training, which will be much more demanding during the afternoon hours at the Teiken Gym (the boxing facility of his promoter Mr. Akihito Honda)

After the early morning run, "Chocolatito" Gonz?lez weighed between 117 lbs-118 lbs, with more than seven days to mark the 113 lbs, the weight that he will have to scale in next Saturday (April 5) for his clash against tough warrior Juan Purisima (11-4-1, 4 KO's) of Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur.

"All is going great, thanks be to God. I will have no trouble in making the required weight to step into the ring ready to put my strong hands on Purisima," said the 2-division world champion.

The fighting career of this unbeaten Nicaraguan Rom?n "Chocolatito" Gonz?lez is being handled by top Japanese promoter Akihiko Honda of Teiken Boxing in association with Boxeo Prodesa of Nicaragua.

Mr. Honda stopped by the Grand Palance Hotel to greet his boxer "Chocolatito" Gonz?lez and reaffirm to him his commitment of putting him in action against Japanese WBC Flyweight World Champion Akira Yaegashi , (19-3, 9 KO's), a fight that could be in August or September of this year.

But for that, Chocolatito must beat Juan Purisima and world champ Yaegashi should defend against Mexican Odilon Zaleta. Both will fight in the same April 6 card at the Ota Gym in Tokyo.

The April 6 card at Ota Gym in Tokyo, marketed as "Ring of Diamond," is a production of promoter Hideyuki Ohashi of Ohashi Promotions.
