It's a go for Farenas vs Velasquez

Michael Fare?as (37-4-4, 29 knockouts) of the Philippines and Hector Velazquez (56-20-3, 38 KOs) of Mexico both made weight for their super featherweight battle today at the Fil Oil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
The two will be fighting for the WBC ABCO super featherweight title in a 12 round bout.
Fare?as first weighed in at 130.5 pounds but he officially clocked in at the super featherweight limit after dropping his boxer shorts and weighing in again.
Velazquez on the other hand struggled to reach the limit as he first weighed in at 135 pounds, which was already in the lightweight division. The Mexican was doubtful at first if he could cut down five pounds in two hours but he was informed that there was a sauna room at the Lancaster Hotel. Velazquez finally reached the super featherweight limit after two hours of sweating.
The event, which is sponsored by CherrylumE, DIY (Do It Yourself) Hardware, and Harrix Wires and Cables, will be aired on GMA 7 on March 22 immediately after Eat Bulaga.
In the undercard, Dave Pe?alosa weighed in at 123.5 pounds for his featherweight fight with a 124 pounds catch weight limit. His opponent Alem Robles weighed in half a pound over but easily dropped the extra weight after joining Velazquez in the sauna room.
