NBA -- Bulls disable Rockets, 111-87

CHICAGO---The Chicago Bulls bounced back from their Spurs debacle last Tuesday and beat the Houston Rockets, 111-87, Thursday night at the United Center.
Mike Dunleavy topbilled the Bulls with 21 points including 18 in the third quarter where the Bulls outscored the Rockets, 35-16. Dunleavy suffered an eyebrow laceration in the second quarter. He came back in the second half with 10 stitches and rallied the Bulls.
Joakim Noah had anther outstanding night, 13 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Kirk Hinrich added 19 while Carlos Boozer had 18 as the Bulls shot a high 43 of 86 from the field (50 percent) including 14 of 24 from 3-point range (58.3 percent)
Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson were both mired in early foul trouble, limiting their production. Butler settled for 11 points while Gibson had 5 points and fur rebounds.
Jeremy Lin led the Rockets with 21 points and provided much-needed spark after Houston trailed the Bulls 25-20 at the end of first quarter. James Harden made only 1-of-7 field goals for a measly eight points.
The Chicago Bulls improved to 37-29 in the standings while the Houston Rockets fell to 44-21. (CMR)
