NBA - Spurs beat Bulls for seventh straight win

CHICAGO -- After a huge win over the Miami Heat on Sunday, the Chicago Bulls came out flat Tuesday night and were manhandled by the San Antonio Spurs, 106-94, at the United Center.
Manu Ginobili led San Antonio's charge with 22 points on 9-for-11 field goal shooting. Tony Parker finished with 20 and nine assists and Kawhi Leonard added 16.
Up 38-14 after one quarter of play, the Spurs led by as many as 32 before the Bulls narrowed the gap at eight in the fourth, thanks to a 24-12 edge in free throws.
But ultimately, the deficit was too large to overcome. It was the Spurs' seventh straight win, giving them the best record in the NBA overall.
DJ Augustin scored 24 for the Bulls and Jimmy Butler contributed 23. Joakim Noah had a fairly quiet 13 and nine boards and Carlos Boozer had eight.
The other Bulls, however, didn't do so well. Kirk Hinrich made only 1 of 9 shots while Taj Gibson missed all of his five shots as the Bulls converted only 32 of 75 from the field, 42.7 percent.
Chicago dropped to 35-29, fourth place in Eastern Conference.
