NBA - Knicks show no brotherly love for Sixers
By Raman Sharma PhilBoxing.com Tue, 11 Mar 2014

NEW YORK -- The New York Knicks (25-40) continued their climb up the Eastern Conference standings Monday night at Madison Square Garden against the Philadelphia 76ers (15-48).
A 123-110 victory put the Knicks in sole possession of 9th place, jumping ahead of the Detroit Pistons.
The Knicks were slow to start the game, with Philadelphia pulling ahead by 12 points in the first quarter. The Knicks had four players scoring 20 or more points tonight. Rookie sensation Tim Hardaway Jr scored 28 points off the bench, including six-of-seven from 3-point range.
The Sixers' Michael Carter Williams is heavily favored to win Rookie of the Year honors, but Hardaway Jr has proven to be an excellent value at the 24th pick of last summer's NBA Draft.
New York forward Amare Stoudemire had another strong game with 23 points, shooting a blistering 9/10 from the field. Carmelo Anthony and JR Smith both scored 22 points each to round off the Knicks leaders. Stoudemire has continued to excel with his increased minutes as a starter.
The hapless Sixers dropped their 17th straight game and inched closer to the dubious mark set by the 1972 team which lost a team-record 20 consecutive games. Michael Carter-Williams and Tony Wroten lead the Sixers attack with 23 points a piece. Carter-Williams notched a triple-double for the night with 23 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists.
The Knicks will look to continue inching towards the eighth and final playoff spot as they take on the Celtics in Boston on Wednesday night. The Sixers will look to end their long losing streak in Philadelphia on Wendnesday night as they battle the Sacramento Kings.
