NBA -- Warriors slay Knicks, 126-103
By Raman Sharma PhilBoxing.com Sun, 02 Mar 2014

NEW YORK -- A year after Golden State Warriors All-Star guard Stephen Curry scored 54 points at Madison Square Garden in New York City, he returned to the proverbial scene of the crime and dazzled fans with a triple-double against the Knicks on Friday night.
The 6-foot-3 Curry finished with 27 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds as the Warriors dumped the Knicks, 126-103.
The Warriors also got 25 points from Klay Thompson, who like Curry, nailed five 3-pointers that helped bury New York.
Golden State, which improved to 36-23 in the Western Conference, got 15 points from Jermaine O'Neal, 12 from Marreese Speights and 10 from David Lee.
The Knicks were led by All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony's 23 points and game-high 16 rebounds. Tim Hardaway Jr chipped in 22 points off the bench while J.R. Smith contributed 17 markers. But the Knicks, who dropped to 21-38, made only 36 of 95 field goals, a poor 37.9 percent clip..
With their fifth straight loss, the embarrassing season for the Knicks continues as a death march leading up to the July 1 free agency decision for Anthony.
The Knicks dropped to 11th place in the Eastern Conference and to add insult to injury, Anthony injured his shooting hand during the game and is day-to-day. (RS)
