By Absalon Inocian, Jr. PhilBoxing.com Sun, 02 Mar 2014

NEW ORLEANS - Point guard Goran Dragic ran rings around his defenders all night, scoring 40 points and dishing five assists as the Phoenix Suns outlasted the New Olreans Pelicans, 116-104, Friday at the US Airways Arena.
Dragic made 14 of 21 field goals to help the Suns erase a 3-game losing streak. Adding to the Pelicans woes were the Morris twins, Markieff and Marcus, who combined for 33 points. Phoenix made 40 of 74 field goals and 10 of 23 threes to end a 3-game losing streak,
"When they double him, he still gets around, reverses his dribble. I think he's at the point in his career when he's seen every possible defense. When they do something, he adjusts," Suns head coach Jeff Hornacek told NBA.com while discussing the brilliance of his playmaker.
The Pelicans kept the game close and led by three in the fourth quarter before the Suns unleashed a 17-1 spurt to ice the victory.
The Suns improved to 34-24 in the Western Conference standings.
All-Star Anthony Davis powered the Pelicans offense with 32 points and nine boards while Eric Gordon registered 21. Tyreke Evans added 14 points and the Pelicans, who dropped their sixth straight assignment, lost despite making 42 of 78 shots.
