The National Basketball Association (NBA) today announced the return of Centro ?ne?b??a as part of 2014 NBA All-Star in New Orleans. Centro ?ne?b??a will provide Hispanic NBA fans with a variety of All-Star activities and events at NBA All-Star Jam Session from Feb. 13-16, at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Current NBA players Greg Monroe, Roy Hibbert, and Tim Hardaway Jr. will take part in the Latin-inspired interactive area, which will operate in both English and Spanish. Activities will include healthy lifestyle cooking demonstrations by Celebrity Chef Philip Lopez, appearances by Hispanic celebrities, photograph opportunities, autograph sessions, and Latin entertainment. Univision Deportes? top-rated sports entertainment program airing on the Univision Network, ?Rep?blica Deportiva? (Sports Republic), will also be broadcasting live from Centro ?ne?b??a, on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 11 a.m. ET. ?With Hispanic fans comprising 18% of the league?s fan base, we have a responsibility to be inclusive and deliver customized experiences that connect with our fans in meaningful ways,? said Saskia Sorrosa, NBA Vice-President of Multicultural Marketing. ?From basketball clinics and healthy cooking demonstrations to NBA Cares events, the league is once again offering NBA All-Star activities that are culturally relevant, drive overall participation and generate excitement about our sport." The league?s Hispanic efforts will be visible throughout All-Star week, including the NBA Cares Special Olympics Unified Game and Club ?ne?b??a presented by C?ROC Vodka on Thursday, Feb. 13. Club ?ne?b??a, a VIP Latin-theme party, will include live performances by Latin Grammy? Award-winning pop duo Chino & Nacho, music by DJ Carolina and appearances by NBA players and Hispanic celebrities. The NBA All-Star Game will feature U.S.-born Hispanic Carmelo Anthony (Puerto Rico). Highlights of NBA All-Star events will be available for Spanish-speaking TV viewers via the league?s Spanish-language broadcast partner, ESPN Deportes.
