NBA -- Thunder's Durant roars 41 against Knicks
By Homer D. Sayson PhilBoxing.com Mon, 10 Feb 2014

CHICAGO -- It was a simple case of too much Kevin Durant.
The NBA's leading scorer poured 41 points Sunday afternoon and the hos Oklahoma City Thunder held off the visiting New York Knicks, 112-100, at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
Durant converted 12 of 22 field goals including 4-of-7 behind the 3-point arc. He came short of a rare triple-double, nabbing 10 rebounds and dishing 9 assists in a brilliant all-around performance that pushed OKC to 41-12 in the overall standings.
"It would have been cool (to have a triple-double) but it doesn't matter we won the game and that's what's important," Durant told NBA.com.
The Thunder's victory was far from a one-man show as point guard Reggie Jackson finished with 19 points and six rebounds while Serge Ibaka added 16 and nine boards. OKC drilled 40 of 73 field goals and rained 12 threes to help fend off New York.
The Knicks were led by point guard Raymond Felton's 16 points and seven helpers but star Carmelo Anthony, the NBA's second leading scorer behind Durant, missed 14 of 19 shots for a mere 15 points.
Tyson Chandler and Iman Shumpert each had 12 for the Knicks, who dropped to 20-31.
