NBA -- Splash Brothers score 56 as Warriors wallop Bulls
By Ryan Medida PhilBoxing.com Sat, 08 Feb 2014

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Splash Brothers -- Steph Curry and Kyle Thompson -- combined for 56 points and the Golden State Warriors rallied from an early 13-point deficit to beat the Chicago Bulls Thursday night.
Curry finished with a game-high 34 points while Thompson added 22 as the Warriors raced to a 102-87 victory at the Oracle Arena in Oakland.
The Warriors improved to 30-20 and Mark Jackson pocketed his 100th win as head coach. Jackson is the sixth coach in franchise history to achieve the honor.
Thanks to a torrid shooting early, the Bulls took a 29-16 first quarter lead but the Warriors responded with a 34-17 second quarter run to seize a 50-46 bubble at halftime.
Harrison Barnes and Jordan Crawford chipped in 11 markers apiece for the Warriors, who played without starters Andrew Bogut and David Lee.
Already without superstar Derrick Rose (meniscus tear), the Bulls also missed the services of starting forward Carlos Boozer.
Taj Gibson started for Boozer and finished with 26 and 13 rebounds. Kirk Hinrich drilled 15 and Jimmy Butler had 14 but the Bulls dropped to 24-25, one game below the .500 mark. They close their six-game road trip on Sunday versus the Lakers at the Staples Center. (RM)
