NBA -- Kings rough up Bulls by 29
By Homer D. Sayson PhilBoxing.com Wed, 05 Feb 2014

CHICAGO -- Bringing a knife to a gun fight is never a good idea.
But that seemed to be the case Monday night at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento where the Chicago Bulls got a 99-70 beating at the hands of the Kings.
Against an explosive Kings team that scores 102 a game, the Bulls came up only with a season-low 70 points and they made just 22 of 78 field goals for a tepid 28.2 percent, also a season low.
After falling behind by 14 in the opening quarter, the Bulls knotted the count at 28 in the second quarter but the Kings made another surge that pushed them ahead, 44-33, at the break.
"We have to have more urgency and work our way out of this," a disappointed Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau told the Chicago Tribune after a disappointing loss that dropped Chicago's record to 23-24.
DeMarcus Cousins led the Kings with 25 points and 16 rebounds and point guard Isaiah Thomas pumped 19. Rudy Gay chipped in 14 and Sacramento snapped a 7-game losing streak to improve to a modest 16-32 slate.
The Kings converted 36 of 69 field goals and punished the Bulls off the boards, 53-30.
