NBA -- Wizards stun Warriors at Oracle Arena
By Ryan Medida PhilBoxing.com Thu, 30 Jan 2014

SAN FRANCISCO -- After stringing together 10 straight wins last December, the Golden State Warriors are slipping, losing six of their last nine games to fall to 27-19 in the overall standings.
The Warriors fell to the Washington Wizards Tuesday night at the Oracle Arena. The 88-85 loss was their fourth in five games at home, leaving head coach Mark Jackson very disappointed.
"Let's stop reading the press clippings and find a way to go out there and get it done. Too many times, we find ourselves forced to try to win ballgames when we should have won it 20 minutes earlier," Jackson told NBA.com.
Bradley Beal paced the Wizards with 20 points while point guard John Wall finished with 15 markers, eight rebounds and five assists. Wall also drilled the go-ahead 3 in the final 1:28 of play to help Washington secure the victory and improve to 22-22 for the season.
Stephen Curry finished with 23 for Golden State, but the Warriors missed 50 of 80 field goals and made only 7 of their 23 three-point attempts. Klay Thompson chipped in 13 and David Lee contributed 11 and five boards. (RM)
