NBA -- Knicks get clipped at home, 109-95

NEW YORK -- Blake Griffin led the Los Angeles Clippers to a road victory over the New York Knicks Friday night at Madison Square Garden in New York. The teams were tied at halftime 50-50, until the Clippers pulled away in the second half.
The All Star Griffin dominated scoring in the paint with a game high 32 points.
The Knicks were without big men Amar'e Stoudemire and Kenyon Martin, leaving little post presence to contend with Griffin. Shooting guard Jamal Crawford, who played for the Knicks from 2004-2009, had a strong output with 29 points off the bench.
The Knicks were led by All Star forward Carmelo Anthony's 26 points and a game high 20 rebounds. Anthony is averaging almost nine boards per game after committing himself to being a more complete player this season. JR Smith returned from a DNP-CD (Did Not Play -- Coach's Decision) with 24 points off the bench.
Tonight's loss dropped the Knicks (15-25) to 7-13 at home which is the second-worst home record in the NBA, a stark contrast from last season when The Garden provided a true home court advantage for these Knicks. (RS)
