NBA - Warriors nip Clippers in testy Christmas night clash
By Laurence Agbulos PhilBoxing.com Fri, 27 Dec 2013

SAN FRANCISCO -- A new start of a possible rivalry transpired on Christmas night when Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin and Golden State Warrior Draymond Green were ejected in a heated encounter at the Oracle Arena.
When the smoke cleared, the Warriors walked away with a 105-103 victory that was sealed when Klay Thompson blocked Chris Paul's drive to the basket and a missed Jamal Crawford 3 as time expired.
A tussle involving Green and Griffin occurred at the end of the first half as Draymond was ejected from the game with a flagrant 2 foul. Shortly after the start of the third quarter Griffin was ejected following yet another tussle, this time involving Andrew Bogut.
?To me its cowardly basketball? Griffin told reporters after the game.
? You can call it whatever you want. It?s just two teams competing,? Warriors point guard Steph Curry said.
Even after the final horn had already sounded things still got tense when Chris Paul tried to pry the basketball from Bogut which led to yet another fracas that required security to break up.
Late in the fourth quarter it was a battle of scoring between the West?s top elite point guards. Curry led the Warriors to a victory scoring seven of his 15 points with 3:01 left in the fourth. He also had 11 assists.
The Clippers' Paul finished with 26 points and 11 assists
Despite Griffin's ejection in the third he clocked in 20 points, 14 rebounds, and five helpers. David Lee finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds while Thompson added 23 points. Bogut had 10 points and 14 rebounds. (LA)
