Last night in Cata?o, Puerto Rico, Puerto Rican rising prospect, Emmanuel 'Manny' Rodr?guez ( 8-0, 5 KO's ) put in a boxing clinic over former world title challenger, David Quijano ( 15-4-1, 9 KO's ) by unanimous decision (above photo) in a super flyweight bout ( 115lbs ). The Judges scored 79-73,79-73, 78-74.
'It was a great experience for me. Quijano was coming foward all the time but we could handle him thru all the 8 rounds. I'm ready to take on more challenges", Emmanuel Rodr?guez said.
In a co-featured war at 112lbs, Jes?s 'Chiquito' Soler ( 5-1, 2 KO's ) defeated Emmanuel 'Popeye' Ram?rez ( 6-1, 4 KO's ) by unanimous decision ( 59-55, 59-55 and 60-54 )
Prichard 'Digget' Col?n (5-0, 5 KO - 154 lbs) TKO Jonathan Garc?a ( 3-7, 1 KO) in the fifth round.
Jonathan Kuilan (5-0-1, 4 KO's - 118lbs) TKO Joseph Santos (0-4) in the first round.
Anthony Mercado (5-0, 5 KO's - 147lbs) TKO Luis Ort?z (0-4) in the third round.
Kenneth Rivera (5-1 4KO's) defeated Christian Freytes (0-2) by TKO in the second round in the featherweight division.
Nichol?s Colella (1-0, 1 KO's - 130lbs ) defeated H?ctor V?lez (0-1) by TKO in the second round.
At the junior welterweight division, Luis ?lvarez (1-0) defeated by unanimous decision Emmanuel Class (0-2) ( 39-37 all three judges )
William Lorenzo (3-14, 1 KO ) defeated Julian Valerio (0-1) by TKO in the fourth round.
