CHICAGO -- In a battle between two injury-depleted teams, the Milwaukee Bucks narrowly edged the Chicago Bulls, 78-74, Tuesday night at the United Center here in the Windy City.
John Henson led the charge with 25 points and 14 rebounds while point guard Brandon Knight added 19 points and 10 boards to lift Milwaukee to victory despite shooting just 40 percent from the field.
Ersan Ilyasova added 10 for the Bucks and Khris Middelton chipped in eight.
Mike Dunleavy topped the Bulls with 24 points and Carlos Boozer tallied 21 and 12 rebounds. Rookie Tony Snell started at the 2-guard slot and accounted for 13 markers.
After scoring just 14 in the opening quarter the Bulls bounced back with a 28-15 second quarter run to take a 42-35 halftime advantage. But they just scored 32 the rest of the way and fell to 8-11 for the season.
Already playing without Derrick Rose (torn Medial meniscus ), the Bulls also missed the services of Jimmy Butler (turf toe), Luol Deng (sore left Achilles) and Joakim Noah (right thigh bruise).
The Bucks, who improved to 5-16, did not have the services of Gary Neal (left foot plantar fasciitis), Zaza Pachula (right foot fracture), Larry Sanders and Caron Butler. (CMR)
