Tomasz Adamek Goes a Round With Jersey City Mayor Steven M Fulop PhilBoxing.com Wed, 13 Nov 2013  11/16 NBC Fight Night Broadcast 2:30 PM ET/ 11:30 AM PT Turning Stone Resort Casino WORLD BOXING GYM, JERSEY CITY, NY - Jersey City resident and current IBF North American Heavyweight Champion, Tomasz "Goral" Adamek and his trainer, Roger Bloodworth held a workout and Meet and Greet for Jersey City Mayor Steven M. Fulop and a contingency of children from Jersey City Recreation Boxing this past weekend at World Boxing Gym in Jersey City. To the delight of the 40+ children who attended, Mayor Fulop surprised Adamek by donning a pair of boxing gloves and going a round with the former cruiserweight and light heavyweight champion. The light-hearted sparring session was followed by an exhibition of pad work by Adamek and Bloodwork, a photo session and a raffle for the kids. Adamek and Bloodworth are preparing for the heavyweight's November 16th fight against Czar Glazkov on NBC (broadcast time begins 2:30PM ET/11:30AM PT). ABOUT NOVEMBER 16th: November 16th at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, NY features a 12-round heavyweight battle between Tomasz "Goral" Adamek and Vyacheslav "Czar" Glazkov in the main event. Six additional bouts are planned for the undercard. Doors will open at 11:30 AM ET, First Fight at 12:30 PM ET. The main event and co-feature will be broadcast 2:30PM ET on NBC as a special 2 hour afternoon presentation of NBC Fight Night. The card is presented by Main Events and co-promoted by Ziggy Promotions and Pushka. The 12-round heavyweight main event is a title defense of Adamek's IBF North American Heavyweight belt. The IBF has designated this bout as a heavyweight voluntary eliminator fight for the #2 position.
