'TRIPLE CORONA' ON NOV. 2

TELEVISA AND FOX DEPORTES TO AIR TRIPLEHEADER STARRING UNBEATEN ANDRES "JAGUAR" GUTIERREZ AND TWO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BOUTS FEATURING FEMALE STARS YAZMIN "RUSITA" RIVAS AND IRMA "TORBELLINO" GARCIA

LOS ANGELES (Oct. 30) - Following a hard-hitting event in July, the Auditorio General Arteaga in Queretaro, Mexico will once again play host to a tripleheader featuring boxing's best, as part of "TRIPLE CORONA" on Televisa and FOX Deportes, starring unbeaten 20-year-old phenom Andres "Jaguar" Gutierrez and female stars Yazmin "Rusita" Rivas and Irma "Torbellino" Garcia.

In the 12-round main event, Queretaro's own Gutierrez defends his WBC Silver Super Bantamweight Title against the Philippines' Ernie Sanchez. Plus, Torreon's Rivas challenges for the interim WBC Female Bantamweight Championship against Distrito Federal's Jessica Gonzalez, and Mexico City's Garcia takes on Monterrey's Magali "Tormenta" Rodriguez for the WBA Female Bantamweight Title.

"Triple Corona" is presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Canelo Promotions and sponsored by Corona. Doors open at 5 p.m. CT and the first fight begins at 6 p.m. CT. The Televisa Deportes broadcast begins at 10:30 p.m. CT. FOX Deportes will air the broadcast on Sunday, November 3, at 1:00 p.m. EST.

One of the top young fighters in Mexico today, Andres "Jaguar" Gutierrez (27-0-1, 22 KO's) is on the verge of big things in the 122-pound weight class as 2013 heads into its closing stages. A knockout victor over Jose Carmona and Salvador Sanchez this year, the dynamic 20-year-old is coming off of a 12-round shutout over Rey Perez in July, keeping his unbeaten record intact yet again.

Hailing from General Santos City, Filipino prospect Ernie Sanchez (14-3, 5 KO's) is making waves in the division, and a win over Gutierrez will move him even further in his quest for world title honors. A pro since 2009, the 21-year-old has won his last three bouts, including Las Vegas victories against fellow up and comers Wilton Hilario and Coy Evans.

Twenty-five-year-old Yazmin "Rusita" Rivas (28-7, 9 KO's) is respected throughout the women's boxing world as a premier prizefighter, and as a WBA Super Flyweight and IBF Bantamweight Champion, she has the hardware to prove it. Unbeaten in her last 11 bouts dating back to 2011, Rivas now hopes to add another world title belt to her collection this Saturday.

Despite having just a fraction of fights that her opponent has had, it's clear that Jessica Gonzalez (7-1-1, 3 KO's) is ready for this bout when you consider that she has already defeated Irma Garcia and Keisher McLeod-Wells over the course of her career. And if she can beat Rivas and win her first world title, no one will ever question her again.

Looking to bounce back from the first loss of her career to Jessica Gonzalez in August, southpaw Irma "Torbellino" Garcia (7-1-1, 1 KO) is more fired up than ever to get back on the winning track and defend her title. A world champion since January, when she outpointed Janeth Perez, Garcia defeated Perez a second time in April before the upset loss to Gonzalez, and she plans on taking out Rodriguez this weekend.

Magali "Tormenta" Rodriguez (13-4-1, 7 KO's) is a hard-hitting contender who has craved this world title shot ever since she turned pro in 2009. Owner of a 2012 win over Jessica Gonzalez, the 21-year-old Rodriguez has also been the distance twice with Janeth Perez, marking her as a legitimate threat to anyone she faces in the ring.
