Pinoy Pride XXII co-main event Edgar ?Chololo? Martinez arrives in Cebu

One of Mexico's finest, Edgar ?Chololo? Martinez arrived Tuesday morning at the Mactan Cebu International Airport via flight 5J561. Together with his trainer Franco Gabaldon, it is the veteran boxer's first time in sunny Cebu. ?Chololo?, whose name in Spanish means a tiny hermit crab that moves from "house" to "house", is on a quest to grab his first ever victory against a Filipino top-notch fighter. Having knocked out his opponents in his last six fights, ?Chololo? is determined to bag the title belt and be catapulted to the top.
Although his record depicts a total of 7 losses, these defeats were against formidable opponents such as former WBA Flyweight Interim champ Sammy Gutierrez, a big-time veteran with a staggering record of 32-8-2, and a whopping 23 KO's He also lost against Ivan Morales, the younger brother of ring legend Erik ?El Terible? Morales.
Catch him on the ring against ALA Gym's ?King? Arthur? Villanueva for the vacant WBO International Super Flyweight title on October 26 for Pinoy Pride XXII: The Revenge at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino.
