Ch?vez Jr / Vera LA News Conf Luncheon - 11:30 a.m. PT PhilBoxing.com Wed, 28 Aug 2013 LOS ANGELES (August 27, 2013) -- Former World Boxing Council (WBC) middleweight champion and Son of the Legend JULIO C?SAR CH?VEZ JR., No. 1 contender BRYAN VERA, two-time M?xican Olympian ?SCAR VALDEZ and Hall of Fame Promoter BOB ARUM, will host a Los Angeles news conference luncheon announcing their upcoming event This Thursday! August 29, in the Crystal Ballroom at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel (506 South Grand Ave., Los Angeles, Calif. 90071-2607). Luncheon will be served at 11:30 a.m. with the news conference beginning at Noon PT. Ch?vez (46-1-1, 32 KOs), of Culiac?n, M?xico, making his 2013 debut in his first fight in the Los Angeles area in over two years, and Vera (23-6, 14 KOs), of Austin, TX, riding a 16-month, four-bout winning streak, will go mano a mano on Saturday, September 28, under the stars, at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. The undercard will feature the Frank Espinoza-managed Valdez (5-0, five KOs), who represented M?xico in the 2008 and 2012 Olympic games, in a six-round featherweight battle. Ch?vez vs. Vera will be televised live on HBO World Championship Boxing?, beginning at 10:15 p.m. ET/PT.
