The Mayor of Miami Tomas Regalado Presented WBC President Jose Sulaiman with the keys of the City

The Mayor of Miami Tomas Regalado Presented WBC President Jose Sulaiman with the keys of the City and Promoter Don King took time out from his birthday celebrations to join them.
Mayor Regalado spoke of Don Jose's outstanding and sustained contribution to boxing spanning more than sixty years.He praised Don Jose's initiative, determination passion an verve to create and to continue initiating new rules to better boxing.
Don Jose spoke of his beginnings in boxing, when as a child he tussled in the botana fights. This helped shape and channel the destiny which brought him to boxing, to which he has dedicated his life. He stressed that from the first day of his Presidency in 1975, he has striven to transform its then savage face of to the path of safety.
He also spoke about the fund which the WBC has created to help boxers who won fame and glory, but fell on hard times. Don Jose has stressed his determination that a monthly pension will insure they can and the will be able to live with dignity.
Don Jose told the Mayor and audience that he has and he continues to live and will always work for Boxing.
