Philippine light flyweight champion Jerson Mancio of the ALA Gym beat Jovel Romasasa by TKO in the 3rd round in a fight held Saturday at the Magsaysay Park in Davao City. This bout was the main event for the ongoing ?ALA-Cobra Tunay na Lakas Boxing? series.
Mancio, who has held the Philippine title for the past two years, is now 18W-3L-3D, 9 KO?s. Romasasa drops to 10W-11L, 4 KO?s.
For the undercard matches, Ralph Lulu won by TKO at the end of 6th round over Ronerex Dalut. Reymund Tabogon beat Engelbert Moralde via split decision, John Vincent Moralde won by 3rd round knockout over Jestoni Makiputin, Bonjun Loperez beat Rocky Incepido via majority decision and Jessie James Boiles and Glendon Ramos fought to a majority draw.
