ALA-SUMMIT FIGHT NIGHT AMATEUR BOXING SERIES IN JUGAN, CONSOLACION PhilBoxing.com Mon, 08 Jul 2013 Boxing fans numbering to a thousand gather as eleven amateur boxers showed boxing spectators why they may be the next boxing champion in the latest installment of ALA-Summit Fight Night Amateur Boxing Series held last Sunday, July 7, 2013 in Brgy. Jugan, Consolacion, Cebu. In the Novice division, Marvin Pesalbon of Consolacion Boxing Academy defeated Ighan Ovino of Flores Boxing Club; Arnold Quebido of Pit-os National High School won against Jason Hortiza of Lapu-lapu City; and Mandaue?s Ferlan Alibo scored a win against Carl Cortez of Cabancalan. In the Juniors division, crowd favorite Narukami Kiyoto of Osaka, Japan won against home-town bet Marvi Pesalbon of Consolacion Boxing Academy; Vicente Sios-e Jr. of University of the Visayas defeated Romel Corales of Consolacion Boxing Academy and Dominique Casanares triumphed against Joseph Retuya of Consolacion Boxing Academy. Five exciting fights were featured in the Experienced division. Ritchie Montealto of the University of the Visayas won against Jimboy Briones of Consolacion Boxing Academy; Christian Bacolod of the University of the Visayas scored a referee stoppage victory against Kent Monterola of Consolacion. The referee stopped the bout at 1:35 mark of the 2nd round due to excessive punishment. Jessrhey Waminal of Bukidnon defeated Jeffrey Stella of Phil-Aust Boxing Club; Kevin Jake Cataraja of the University of the Visayas triumphed against Jeorge Edusma of Consolacion Boxing Academy; and the last fight of the night, Rioxyl Tabogon of Cebu City won a second round referee stoppage against Jeo Santesima due to injury. A night of amateur boxing was once again brought to us by the country?s premiere boxing outfit, ALA Promotions in cooperation with Summit Natural Drinking Water in an endeavor to open doors of opportunity for future world boxing champions.  |
