Collison to Clippers

LOS ANGELES -- Free-agent point guard Darren Collison has found a new home -- the Los Angeles Clippers. The 6-foot, 175-pound guard out of UCLA has agreed to a two-year, $1.9 million deal, according to multiple reports.
The 25-year old Collison played 29.3 minutes per game for the Dallas Mavericks last season and averaged 12 points and 5.1 assists in 81 games. Collison played his rookie season with the New Orleans Hornets and spent two years with the Indiana Pacers before going to the Mavericks.
Collison is expected to play back-up to Clippers point guard Chris Paul, who mentored Collison in New Orleans where they played together. Collison's arrival will blunt the loss of guard Eric Bledsoe, who left for the Phoenix Suns via free agency.
Colliison's migration to Los Angeles won't get official until July 10, when the NBA lifts the moratorium on player signings. (KMR)
