Peter Mitrevski Jr returns at Thunderdome II By Brett Bonetti PhilBoxing.com Tue, 02 Jul 2013 ![]() In a remarkable story, ?Baby? Pete Mitrevski Jr. (23-8-1, 11 KO?s) will be back in the ring for the first since being shot 4 times during an altercation in a car repair workshop in February 2011. The experienced Mitrevski Jr. takes on Luke ?Razor? Sharp (5-0-2) for the IBO Asia Pacific Middleweight title at Dragon Fire Promotions ?Thunderdome II? this Saturday night at Metro City in Perth Australia. Shot twice in both legs and told he would never box again, Mitrevski Jr completes his comeback in his first bout since December 2010. Mitrevski, a 15 year veteran has faced the likes of former IBF middleweight champion Sebastian Sylvester (34-5-1, 16 KO?s) for the WBA Intercontinental Middleweight title in Germany and the UK?s Martin Murray (25-1-1, 11 KO?s) at the Bolton arena in England. The career of Mitrevski Jr. was basically written off after he was shot following what police described as a ?vicious? street brawl in Sydney, Australia. Mitrevski told the West Australian ?Yeah, I was told I would never fight again but I had the determination to get back in and fight again.? ?You get told you?ll never fight again but I just worked hard, trained hard, got my body right, and bit by bit it?s fallen into place,? Mitrevski said. Mitrevski is trained by renowned Australian trainer Johnny Lewis. Mitrevski will take on the unbeaten Luke Sharp, a former WA amateur champion, over 10 rounds and insists stamina won?t be an issue. ?I had to take a fight that was worth training for, and I?m not one to say I?m the best but I?m prepared to fight the best,? Mitrevski said. ?Sharp was a good amateur, I watched him fight one of the best Australian amateur fighters, and 2012 Olympian Cameron Hammond, and I personally think he won the fight.? ?But this is a 10 round professional fight and I?m taking him into the deep waters,? Mitrevski said. ?Stamina won?t be a problem, that?s how I like to fight, the more rounds, the more it suits me, that?s where I?ll come into play.? Mitrevski believes that Sharp and his camp think he is past it and is a washed up fighter. ?That?s not the case, I?ve still got a lot to offer and I know I can beat Luke Sharp,? Mitrevski said. Mitrevski Jr, is the son of a former Australian champion Peter Mitrevski. In the main event of ?Thunderdome II? Daud ?Indonesian Thunder? Yordan (30-3, 23 KO?s) takes on Daniel ?Tatu? Brizuela (25-1-2, 8 KO?s) IBO World Lightweight Title. Australian Jason ?Nugget? Cooper (6-1-1, 3 KO?s) will face Rasmanudin (17-3-2, 9 KO?s) for the IBO Asia Pacific Super Bantamweight title. Jeremy ?War Machine? Van Diemen (4-0-1, 3 KO?s) will meet fellow undefeated West Australian Andrew ?Mean Machine? Green (10-0, 5 KO?s) for the Western Australian State Light Heavyweight Title. Local prospects, "Sammy Automatic" Hogan and "Brilliant" Brandon Ogilvie will also be on Dragon Fire Promotions ?Thunderdome II?.
