NBA -- George leads Pacers past Hawks

NEW JERSEY -- Paul George notched his first playoffs triple-double and the No.3 seeded Indiana Pacers handled the No.6 ranked Atlanta Hawks, 107-90, at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on early Sunday afternoon.
George had 23 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists as the Pacers jumped to a 34-26 lead and never looked back. George made just three of 13 field goals but he drilled 17-of-18 from the free throw line.
Point guard Jeff Teague led the charge for the Hawks with 21 points and seven assists. Josh Smith and Al Horford chipped in 15 and 14 points, respectively.
The Pacers held the edge on the boards, collecting 48 rebounds to the Hawks' 32. The Pacers also aggressively drove to the basket, drawing fouls, resulting in making 30 of 34 free throw attempts.
In contrast, the Hawks chose to settle for jump shots and were never able to close the Pacers lead to less than eight points during the final period.
The series will resume with Game 2 on Wednesday night in Indianapolis. (RS).
