NBA - Bulls steal one in Brookyln, 92-90 By Raman Sharma PhilBoxing.com Sat, 06 Apr 2013 ![]() BROOKLYN -- The Brooklyn Nets (43-32) relinquished a 16 point first half lead to the heavily depleted Chicago Bulls (41-33) and fell 92-90 at the Barclays Center. It was a tough game for the Nets as there appeared to be just as many Bulls fans as there were Nets fans in the arena. Like most Chicago sports fans, they passionately cheered on their Bulls and were much louder than the home fans. Working against the crowd and their own inconsistencies, the Nets were unable to hold off Chicago's late run. The Nets are now 1 1/2 games ahead of the Bulls and Hawks for fourth place in the playoff standings. This is a potential first round matchup and with or without Derrick Rose, the Bulls are still a force to be reckoned with. The Bulls tied the game at 65 on Jimmy Butler's 3 pointer with three seconds remaining in the third quarter. Nate Robinson then gave the Bulls the lead for good with a high arching layup over the outstretched long arms of Nets center Brook Lopez with 22 seconds left in the game. The Nets had the final possession of the game with 5.5 seconds remaining and down 92-90. Deron Williams penetrated into the lane and passed to a wide open Lopez on the right baseline for a potential game-tying 17 foot jumper that rimmed out. Deron Williams led all scorers with 30 points and 10 assists. Brook Lopez chipped in with 28 points. Reggie Evans continued his monstrous rebounding dominance with 13 boards tonight along with tough interior defense. The Bulls were led by Carlos Boozer who had his way in the paint with 29 points and 18 rebounds. Luol Deng added 18 and Jimmy Butler had 16 points and 10 rebounds. The Bulls dominated the glass by grabbing 46 rebounds to the Nets 30. The Bulls were without 2011 MVP Derrick Rose, Rip Hamilton, Taj Gibson, Marco Belinelli, and Joakim Noah.
