Weights from M?xico: Garc?a 106 lbs, Guevara 107 lbs for WBC Silver Jr. Flyweight Title

Mexican two-time world champion Ra?l "Rayito" Garc?a (33-2-1, 21KO?s) of Baja California, weighed-in 106 lbs (48.1 kgs), while fellow Mexican opponent Pedro ?Jibran? Guevara (18-1-1, 13KO?s) of Sinaloa, scaled-in at 107 lbs (48.6 kgs), ahead of their battle for the vacant WBC Silver Jr. Flyweight Title tomorrow at the Francisco Carranza Lim?n Stadium in Guasave, Sinaloa. The winner gets a step closer to a clash with regular WBC Jr. Flyweight World Champion Adri?n "El Confesor" Hern?ndez (26-2-1, 16KO?s).
In the co-main event, local hero IBF Minimumweight World Champion Mario "Dragoncito" Rodr?guez (15-6-4, 11KO?s), making his first world title defense, tipped the scales at 103.8 lbs (47.1 Kg.), while mandatory challenger IBF #6 ranked Katsunari Takayama (24-6, 10KO?s) of Osaka, Japan, weighed-in the limit of the division 105 lbs (47.6 Kgs).
The winner of the Rodr?guez-Takayama rumble should face IBF #1 contender 23 year-old Filipino Mateo Handig Singwancha (13-5, 7KO's) of Northern Samar. Handig already defeated Takayama in a close split decision last October in La Trinidad, Benguet.
Eleven more fights complete the evening of boxing in Guasave, Sinaloa, a production of ring legend Erik "El Terrible" Morales, Promociones del Pueblo and Goossen Tutor Promotions, in association with Cerveza Corona, La Cerveza M?s Fina.
