CUELLO-SINGWANGCHA OFF TO MEXICO FOR MAY 19 LOPEZ CLASH, ONE STEP AWAY FROM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP By Chito Yu Katangkatang PhilBoxing.com Sun, 13 May 2012 WBC Silver Strawweight World Champion Denver Cuello-Singwangcha will leave for Mexico today via Las Vegas fight Ganigan Lopez in defense of his Silver belt and in an eliminator for a crack at the regular belt held by Japan's Kazuto Ioka. The Ilongo warrior will be accompanied by his manager, promoter and trainer Aljoe Jaro and Vegas based coach Carlos Vasquez. As stated by boxing pundits and experts, Cuello should have been a world champion two years ago if not for the politics of boxing. He is so far the most talented fighter at 105 pounds and he is unstoppable in the division. Cuello is not only strong and fast, he is a thinking fighter who can fight abroad and win a fight even with only a bottle of water in his corner. His meek personality mutates into a merciless killing machine inside the ring. As recalled, me made an easy onslaught of Carlos Perez by knocking him out in the first round of their fight in Mexican soil. After getting past Lopez, Cuello will have his long dreamed crack at the regular WBC Belt in Japan against Kazuto Ioka if the Japanese Champ would be brave enough to face him. There is a possibility that Ioka will avoid Cuello and move up in weight thus relinquishing the title. According to Manager Aljoe Jaro, "Denver cannot look past Lopez. He is a dangerous guy with experience and knock out power. The fight is in Mexico and we need to knock him out for the sure win. Denver is ready, I personally handled his training to make sure he will be a world champion this year and our stable will have two world champions after Sonny Boy Jaro. We are asking for your prayers and support". Cuello also told philboxing, "I will do my best do do a better performance than my last one. I want to win this and win by knockout. I can't wait to face Ioka and be a world champion. I have never felt this much hunger to win. Please pray for me." Jaro and Cuello with coach Lito are set to fly to Mexico via Vegas later tonight.
