Erik Morales Lands in Houston

Four time world champion in as many divisions and current WBC light welterweight champion Erik "Terrible" Morales arrived in Houston, Texas, on Sunday evening for his next assignment and first defense of his title on Saturday, March 24th. Morales landed with his team comprised of his trainer and father Jose "Olivaritos" Morales, chief second Fernando Fernandez as well as assistants Armando Cardona and Jorge "Choko" Murillo. Morales (52-7, 36KOs) of the Zona Norte of Tijuana, Mexico, will be facing undefeated young lion Danny "Swift" Garcia (22-0, 14KOs) of Philadelphia in a twelve round bout. The contest will be televised live by HBO's "World Championship Boxing" from the Reliant Arena and presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Box Latino and sponsored by Corona, DeWalt Tools and AT&T.
On Monday afternoon, Morales made his way to the Savannah Boxing Club to fine tune the last details for his Saturday night engagement.

Tuesday, March 20th, Teleconference with International Press, 12:00pm.
Wednesday, March 21st, Public Training Session, time and place will be announced.
Thursday, March 22nd, Final Press Conference at Reliant Arena, 1:30pm.
Friday, March 23rd, Official Weigh-in Ceremony at the Americas Mall, 1:00pm.
Saturday, March 24th, HBO's "World Championship Boxing" live broadcast.
