GABEJAN FIGHTS FOR WBC INTL. 140 LBS TITLE VS. PRAWET SINGWANGCHA IN THAILAND FRIDAY

Newly crowned PBF Lightweight Champion Edgar Gabejan (23(KO7)-L26(KO3)-D4) of Paranas, Eastern Samar will fight Thailand?s Prawet Singwangcha (W46(KO27)-L3(KO2)-D2) for the WBC International Light Welterweight Championship belt. The fight will be held at Nakhon, Ratchasima, Thailand tomorrow (Friday) afternoon 4:30 PM Philippine time.
Gabejan is fresh from his ninth round demolition of formidable contender Balweg Bangoyan in a fight staged in Mandaluyong City. Singwangcha on the other hand had his recent victory against unheralded Filipino Ronnel Esparas last January 13 in Thailand.
Filipino international judge Rey Danseco will judge the fight together with Noppharat Sricharoen of Thailand and Franz Marti of Swizerland. Gabejan just made the exact pounds during the weigh-in today while Sinwangcha was asked to reduce before finally making it in the scales. Gabejan is accompanied by trainer Frankie Jaro of Binangonan, Rizal.
