ALA PROMOTIONS OPENS 2012 WITH PINOY PRIDE XI: PHILIPPINES VS THE WORLD PUBLIC SPARRING @ PACIFIC MALL

At 5 PM today, January 7, 2012, featured fighters of the eleventh edition of ALA Promotions and ABS-CBN Sports' Pinoy Pride mega-boxing series opens 2012 with the first public sparring event at the Pacific Mall in Mandaue City, Philippines.
PINOY PRIDE XI: PHILIPPINES VS THE WORLD Team Philippines Captain Milan "Metodico" Melindo who captains the Philippines in this event will lead his fellow Filipino fighters in a public sparring session to give Filipino boxing fans a preview of what to expect come fight night.
Event date for PINOY PRIDE XI: PHILIPPINES VS THE WORLD will be on January 28, 2011 and will be held at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
This fistic showcase will feature the undefeated and reigning WBO Inter-continental Flyweight Cahmpion Milan "Metodico" Melindo, who is a whisker away from a possible world championship challenge as he is ranked very high in all of boxing governing bodies.
The man who will try to spoil Melindo's championship dreams is the "Panterita" from Mexico and former WBC and WBO Latino Light Flyweight Champion Juan Esquer who like Melindo has been tested by the best in his division. Esquer will lead The World Team as Captain and will try to bring home the Philippines Vs The World Cup. Five different nationalities will likewise be on the spotlight on this anticipated electric event.
Also to be featured in todays sparring sessions are the PP XI under card fighters of Pinoy Pride XI who are considered to be boxings next stars.
