CUELLO?S OPEN LETTER TO TEAM IOKA PhilBoxing.com Thu, 05 Jan 2012  Dear Kazuto Ioka and Team: My name is Denver Cuello-Singwangcha from the Philippines. I am currently the WBC World Silver Minimumweight Champion and ranked number one by the WBC next to you who is the current Champion. I will not question your ability and skills as a boxer. I give respect to your ring accomplishments because you need to be something to defeat Oleydong Sithsamerchai and hold that belt that you have right now. When you defeated Yodgoen Chalermchai last December 31, 2011, I believe that you only have two choices that are: to relinquish the belt and move up in weight or defend your belt against me who is next to you in rankings. I am not a WBC Official and I know they decide on matters of title fights. But I am challenging you as a fellow warrior. Let us give the fans a good fight and prove to the world that you are a true world champion and not a playing safe cherry picker. You can call the shots. I can fight you in Japan, even in front of your house. You can choose any judge and it?s okay even if all judges and the referee were your relatives. I can also fight you without any purse. Just provide plane tickets, hotel and food for me, my manager and my trainer. I don?t care about the money. I only want a shot at your belt. I have been ranked within the top five for years but was never given the chance to fight for that belt. Now should be the right time. I am calling you Kazuto Ioka, your manager, your promoter and anybody in your team. Let?s make this happen. Send me the contract and I will sign without any hesitation. If you are not man enough to face me, then leave the belt and look for another weight division. I am a world champion in my own right, let us show the world who is the real champion in the lightest weight division. With all my cards laid down, I believe that you have no more reason to run away.
