Time For Truth nears Moment Of Truth...January 13th at Desperado's in Calgary, Alberta PhilBoxing.com Wed, 04 Jan 2012 On Friday January 13, NABA Light Middleweight Champion Adam "The A-Bomb" Trupish will get a chance to back up his "rhetoric" when he takes on Janks Trotter in a 10 round title fight held in Calgary, Alberta at Desperado's Night Club. Weeks before the contract was signed, "A Bomb" began lobbing personal insults from Edmonton to Calgary where Trotter lives and trains. He called Trotter his "Expletive" and the two time Canadian Olympian continued his bombastic verbal assault in interview after interview. According to Trupish, he was shocked that Trotter had the gall to ask for a fight. Trupish went on to remind boxing fans of his resume which includes 9 National Titles, two brief Olympic appearances and Trupish was named Canadian fighter of the year, twice. He scoffed at Trotter's resume and pointed out that he and Trotter shared two common opponents (Jordan Clarke & Richard Reittie) and it was Trupish who was more impressive, according to Adam. Trupish fought Reittie and Clarke as amateurs; knocking out Clarke in the first round and winning a decision over Reittie, multiple times. For the record, Trotter knocked out Clarke, as a pro, in the first round and the 27 year old Irish Canadian sent Reittie home with an 8th round TKO loss on November 19, 2011. On paper, most ring boxing pundits are giving the edge to Trupish; however, fights aren't won on paper. And while Trupish was lauding his impressive resume, the Edmonton boxer forgot to to mention two issues that may come into play on Friday, January 13th in Calgary, Alberta......Adam is 32 soon to be 33 and he hasn't fought in almost a year and unless he is bionic...those two factors could play a huge role in the outcome. In the other corner, Trotter fought three times in 2011 resulting in 3 impressive wins; all by knockouts. Team Trupish believes their war horse will win because he has superior power. His 9-0 record does include 6 knockouts which means he wins by Ko, 67% of time while his counterpart brings a 7-0-1 record to the contest w/7 knockouts. Discounting his early second round technical draw verdict with Arturo Crespin on March 19, 2011 in Phoenix, Arizona, Trotter runs the table. Team Trotter has said very little about strategy and when asked to make a prediction; Trotter replied: "I'll do my talking in the ring." Both fighters know the "Time for Truth" is near. Boxing Fans going to Calgary to watch the Event need to go online and purchase tickets at: www.fanbaseboxing.com ...Doors open at 6PM and 1st bell is set for 7PM.
