'PINOY PRIDE X' WEIGHIN AT PACIFIC MALL FRIDAY PhilBoxing.com Wed, 07 Dec 2011 ![]() The new Pacific Mall Mandaue will be the site of the most important affair before the much-awaited Pinoy Pride X event happens on December 10, 2011 at the Hoops Dome, Lapu-Lapu City. The ring warriors in Pinoy Pride X: IBF International Featherweight Championship, which will feature Rey ?Boom Boom? Bautista, will tip the scales on December 9 at 12 noon. ALA Promotions and ABS-CBN Sports, the two promoters of the tenth installment of the boxing mega- series, with partner brands Cobra Tunay na Lakas Energy Drink, Summit Natural Drinking Water, SM Super Malls, KIA Motors Cebu, Radisson Blu Hotel, EGI Resort and Hotel, Harold?s Hotel, Meal Time Food Factory, as well as Pacific Mall Mandaue, MAYA Mexican Restaurant, MOOON Caf? and ABACA Resort realize the potential for the featured matchups to become a sellout to fight fans. Pinoy Pride X will feature two national champions from two countries set to battle for the vacant OPBF Light Welterweight Championship. The new addition to the ALA Promotions roster and reigning Philippine Light Welterweight Champion Romeo ?Jako? Jakosalem will be facing reigning Korean Light Welterweight Champion Pan Soo Kim. The fight night will also feature Rocky ?The Road Warrior? Fuentes, who will be fighting for much higher ranking in the four major boxing organizations and hopefully get a shot at a world title match. He will be facing WBC International Silver Light Flyweight Champion Lookdiaw Tor Buamas of Thailand. A battle of two undefeated fast-rising prospects from two rival countries?Philippines and Mexico? will commence in a ten-round match between Genesis ?Azukal? Servania of the Philippines and Marcos ?Geraldito? Cardenas of Mexico. For the main event, the reigning IBF International Featherweight Champion Rey ?Boom Boom? Bautista will be staking his most recent title against certified knockout artist from Mexico, Miguel Angel Mendoza. How Bautista performs on December 10 will determine if he indeed deserves a shot at the world championship. On December 10, fight fans in Lapu-Lapu City will enjoy a free ride courtesy of the participating barangays to and from the HOOPS DOME. First row VIP ticket holders already have reserved parking space just for them. Other VIPs have a parking space available on a first-come-first-served basis. Those who did not buy VIP passes need not worry about their vehicles, since the Lapu-Lapu City Government, through the City Traffic Management System will be providing secure parking spaces within the vicinity of the Hoops Dome. ![]() |
