JOSE SULAIMAN, 36 YEARS AS WBC PRESIDENT, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! PhilBoxing.com Tue, 06 Dec 2011  On december 5 1975 Jose Sulaiman from Mexico , was elected as WBC Pesident in Tunisia, North Africa during the Annual Convention which was attended by 30 delegates representing the 23 countries affiliated in those years. This coming monday december 12 , the WBC will open its 49th Annual Convention in Las Vegas with some 1200 delegates representing the current 164 countries affiliated to our organisation . Jose Sulaiman reign as President has been a journey which has changed the sport of boxing, implementing many rules and procedures to make boxing safer for the boxers .
