TALISAY CITY AND MANDAUE CITY BOXERS SHOW CLASS IN AMATEUR SLUGFEST

Amateur boxers from Sta. Cruz boxing club of Talisay City and Flores boxing club of Mandaue City posted 3 separate wins in Barangay Linao, Talisay City Amatuer Boxing Dual-Meet. Jhon Nino Vega of FBC-Mandaue WP Almer Dabon of Sta. Cruz-Talisay, Ariel Sibay of FBC-Mandaue WP Marvin Pumar of Sta.Cruz-Talisay, Marco Pumar of Sta.Cruz-Talisay WP Jhonriel Jecong of FBC-Mandaue, Kitseron Garces of Sta.Cruz-Talisay WP John Ybanez of FBC-Mandaue, John Britannia of Sta.Cruz-Talisay WP Sherwin Legaspi of FBC-Mandaue and Mark Kevin Soreno of FBC-Mandaue WP Lester Dula of Sta.Cruz-Talisay in the most applauded fight of the night. Joshua Bacus of Lagtang WP Cedie Noblefranca of Cansojong in an all-Talisay showdown. An exhibition bout was also a highlight between former pro boxer Fabio Marfa and William Sanchez.
The night's hostilities were started with bouts from boxers of rival sitios in the barangay to the delight of the crowd. This boxing event is in line with the celebration of their annual fiesta and was made possible by Talisay City councilor Val Ylanan. (Felman Gingoyon)
