TWO FORMER WORLD CHAMPIONS BACK ON ONE BOXING CARD

PhilBoxing.com

?Marvelous? Marvin Sonsona (former WBO world superflyeight champion) and Johnriel ?Cuadro Alas? Casimero ( former WBO interim jr. flyweight champion) are now back on serious and rigid training. This is also the first time that two former world champions are on one boxing card.

With barely three weeks to go for his ring comeback fight on October 15th, ?Marvelous? Marvin Sonsona intensifies his training at the Omega gym in Mabolo. He is scheduled to face Carlos Jacobo ( 14W (10 KO?s) 3L ? 1D) of Mexico. He is also young so this promises to be a very good fight.

Marvin vows to be on top of the world again. He is more focused, dedicated, disciplined (although the youthfulness comes out once in a while ) and determined to become a world champion again.
He trains regularly together with his fellow boxers who are in the October 15th boxing card at the Hoops Dome in Lapulapu city.

He spars every Tuesday/Thursday and Saturday. Sometimes he spars with the rising prospect of the Pe?alosa clan ? Dodie Boy Pe?alosa Jr..

Johriel Casimero is the other former champion who will see action on october 15th. He will be tested against TI Yamagata Sentillas of the Flores Boxing Stable in Mandaue City.

Luckily, Casimero gets to spar with his former opponent, Ramon Garcia Hirales of Mexico, who defeated him on his first defense of his belt.Hirales who arrived in Cebu earlier to give himself the chance to acclimatize and spars with some Filipino boxers for his scheduled world title defense against Filipino champion Donnie Nietes in Bacolod City on October 08, 2011. it is just like watching the main event of a world title match.

Like Sonsona, Casimero has realized the mistakes of not taking his boxing career seriously. ?sayang jud kaayo ang opportunities nga nawala, all because of my own irresponsibility sa panglantaw sa kinabuhi?. But it is not too late yet.
Both are young and they still have so much time to make up for the lost opportunities.

So come October 15th, they are confident that with the rigid training at the Omega gym, they will give all the boxing fans their money?s worth.

The show at the Hoops dome, in Lapulapu City will start at 6:00 p.m.

P.S.- For all boxing fans who want to see them in action during sparring sessions, they can go to the Omega gym at Juan Luna Avenue (formerly San Jose de la Monta?a) every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. ? PR
