Marlon Tapales of Lanao del Norte won by knockout in the fourth round in his fight against Yodpichai Sithsaithong of Thailand last Saturday at the Mindanao Civic Center Gymnasium in Tubod, Lanao del Norte. Official time ? 1:50. This fight served as the main event in the card billed as ?Bakabakan sa Araw ng Lanao?.
The 19 year old Tapales continues to be one of the country?s top prospects. Last month, Tapales (18W-1L, 6 KO?s) beat Alejandro Solorio by majority decision after six rounds in a fight held at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
For the supporting bouts, Thony Gemino won by TKO in the 4th round over Ramil Anito. Official time ? 2:36.
RJ Ano-os won by unanimous decision against Gadwin Tubigon after eight rounds.
