MELLIGEN'S JULY 1 OPPONENT REPLACED WITH DANGEROUS ARGENTINIAN PhilBoxing.com Sun, 26 Jun 2011 ![]() ALA Promotions and Top Rank welterweight prospect Mighty Mark Melligen of the ALA Boxing gym, Cebu, Philippines is in the fight of his career as he is set to to face dangerous Argentinian veteran replacement Sebastian Andres Lujan. Melligen was scheduled to face Mexican Freddy Hernandez but Hernandez backed out just recently due to a cut suffered during sparring. Mighty Mark fought nine of his last ten fights either in Mexico or the United States under TOP RANK losing only once to Michel Rosales. He is coming of a ten round unanimous decision win over Mexico's Gabriel Martinez February of this year in Las Vagas, USA. Replacement Sebastian Andres Lujan who is taking Hernandez's place is considered to be the Filipino Melligen's toughest opponent to date as the tough Argentinian veteran boasts of a very impressive resume. Lujan, W 37 (KO 23) L 5 D 2 has a 51.11 KO percentage and is in a freight train like 11 fight winning streak with five of those opponents not making the distance. "Pimienta" or Iron as he is he is also called is the current WBC Latino Welterweight Champion winning it over Jailer Berrio via 5th round KO and defending it twice against Juan Pablo Lucero (TKO 4) and Jorge Daniel Miranda (UD 10). He has likewise won the WBA FEDELATIN welterweight title over Roberto Hernen Reuque in 2006 via TKO 9. The Latino Champ Lujan has beat the credible and one of the toughest fighter in boxing in Jose Luis Castillo beating the latter in a 10 round UD win. He also fought recognizable names in Serhiy Dzinziruk for the WBO Light Middleweight Title but lost via 12 round unanimous decision and likewise met Antonio Margarito for the WBO Welterweight Title in 2005 losing via 10th round TKO. Margarito who badly beat Shane Mosley to a pulp lost to the great Manny Pacquiao late last year in one of the biggest venues in boxing history, the Dallas Cowboys Stadium.
