The Congressman also inspected the different stalls/sections of the public market particularly at the vegetable, meat, poultry and fast food sections.  After his tour/inspection of the Alabel New Public market, The Congressman proceeded to the BANGUS FRY breeding facility of the Finfish Hatcheries, situated at Lun Masla, Sarangani. The Congressman, who facilitated the donation of five million bangus fry from the Alcantara group, toured and inspected the hatchery facility and observed the packing of bangus fry intended to be donated to the bangus breeders who suffered business reverses due to the recent fish kill at Pangasinan and Batangas Areas. Manny Pacquiao and Alex Alcantara, Alsons Aquaculture Corporation executive vice president, look over Sarangani Prime Bangus products Monday, June 13, as Sarangani prepares to ship five million Bangus (Milkfish) fry to replenish Bangus stocks to Pangasinan and other areas in Luzon that were severely depleted by the recent fish kill phenomenon. Governor Migs Dominguez and Congressman Pacquiao are sending Bangus fry provided by Finfish Hatcheries based in Malapatan, Sarangani. Finfish Hatcheries along with Alsons Aquaculture Corporation form part of the aquaculture business unit of the Alcantara Group- the single biggest producer and processor of milkfish in the Philippines today- providing half of the country's bangus fry requirement.
