Edison Miranda and Badou Jack Dominate in Atlantic City PhilBoxing.com Tue, 07 Jun 2011 Two of Warriors Boxing's fighters scored exciting victories on the undercard of WBC Super Middleweight Champion Carl Froch's majority decision victory over Glen Johnson at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on Saturday night, as power punching sensation Edison "Pantera" Miranda returned to the ring with unanimous eight-round decision (80-73, 79-73 and 79-73) over Pittsburgh's Rayco "War" Saunders and Warriors Boxing newest young prospect Badou Jack "The Ripper" of Sweden scored a very impressive TKO 5 (1:30) over Bronx, New York's Hajro Sujak. Making his debut in a higher weight division, Miranda (33-5, 29 KOs) showed all the traits that made him a fan favorite the world over. Power, showmanship, aggression. He hurt Saunders (20-13-2, 8 KO's) badly in round three with a series of clubbing right hands. After that the Pennsylvania native Saunders fought a more safety-first style. After an even first round, Jack's combination punching began to take its toll on the face of the tough New Yorker, Sujak (6-2, 2 KO's). True to his nickname, Jack (6-0, 5 KO's) ripped hard body shots, softening Sujak up for face-smashing hooks and uppercuts. "Both guys looked great tonight," said Warriors Boxing President, Leon Margules. "Edison came back and showed he still has it against a durable veteran and Badou Jack made his first fight in the US a memorable one, as he put a beating on his opponent." Both fighters, says Margules, will be back in action in the near future. "Edison will probably appear on TV next, on his way to winning the light heavyweight championship. And for Badou Jack, the goal will be to keep him busy and let fans all around the country have their first look at this terrific prospect from Sweden."
