GOLDEN BOY'S UNBEATEN FIDEL MALDONADO JR. FIGHTS IN A HOMECOMING BOUT ON "S?LO BOXEO TECATE" BROADCAST

PhilBoxing.com

"DUKE CITY SHOWDOWN" FEATURES REMATCH BETWEEN HOLLY HOLM AND VICTORIA CISNEROS AT THE ROUTE 66 CASINO HOTEL IN ALBUQUERQUE

LOS ANGELES, June 3 - On Friday, June 10, Golden Boy Promotions' undefeated rising star Fidel Maldonado Jr. returns home to fight San Antonio's Eddie Ramirez in a six round homecoming fight on the TeleFutura "S?lo Boxeo Tecate" broadcast from the Route 66 Casino Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The televised10-round main event will feature two female fighters taking center stage as Holly "The Preacher's Daughter" Holm meets Victoria "La Reina de la Guerra" Cisneros in a rematch of their 2009 battle in "Duke City."

This seven-bout card of world-class professional boxing is presented by Don Chargin Productions, Golden Boy Promotions and Fresquez Productions and is sponsored by Cerveza Tecate and AT&T. Doors open at 5:30pm PT and the first bell rings at 7:00pm PT. The TeleFutura broadcast begins at 11:30pm ET / PT (10:30pm CT/9:30pm MT).

Fans at home can also be part of the action by participating in Cintur?n Tecate and voting for the fighter in the main event who displayed the most character in the ring by sending a text message to 55333. Voting will be open through the end of the weekend.

Tickets, priced at $200, $150, $100, $75, $50 and $25, are available for purchase at www.rt66casino.com or by calling 1-800-585-3737.

Perhaps the best prospect to emerge from Albuquerque since the days of Johnny Tapia and Danny Romero, 19-year-old southpaw Fidel Maldonado Jr. (10-0, 9 KO's) has been tearing through opponents with vicious power and a veteran's poise. The owner of six first round knockouts, Maldonado will be returning home to fight in Albuquerque for the first time as a professional on June 10 and you can expect that he's coming back to put on a show when he takes on 23-year-old Texan Eddie Ramirez (6-7-1, 3 KO's), a gritty battler who has already been in with top prospects Yaundale Evans and Jerry Belmontes. Ramirez will have upset on his mind as he takes on the young prospect.

One of female boxing's best, pound for pound, Holly Holm (29-1-3, 9 KO's) has captured the imagination of fight fans with her ability in the ring and charisma outside of it. The Albuquerque native isn't just a local phenomenon, she is also a world champion who owns victories over some of the game's best, including Chevelle Hallback, Ann Saccurato and Mary Jo Sanders. Unbeaten since 2004, the 29-year-old southpaw shows no signs of slowing down.

Facing Holm is 26-year-old Albuquerque standout Victoria Cisneros (5-11-2, 1 KO) who is stepping in on short notice to replace Holm's original opponent, Cindy Serrano, who was forced to withdraw due to a fractured nose she suffered during training. Cisneros is no stranger to this scenario, having faced Holm in December of 2009 on just a few hours notice and gave Holm a tough 10 round scrap. With experience gained in wins over Terri Blair and Letizia Guerrero as well as in memorable battles with Melissa Hernandez, Chevelle Hallback and Cecilia Braekhus, Cisneros is ready to deliver some payback.

Tecate, cerveza con car?cter, is the largest beer brand to sponsor boxing matches in the U.S. Part of its commitment to make boxing accessible to consumers is the title sponsorship of "S?lo Boxeo Tecate," which creates an opportunity for local fans to witness some of the most exhilarating fights by today's up-and-coming prospects. Additionally, Tecate has been a primary supporter of Golden Boy Promotions' marquee events since 2007, and has launched a variety of initiatives to ensure consumers are part of the boxing experience, including boxer autograph signing sessions, commemorative cans, PPV mail-in rebate offers, and most recently the launch of a mobile museum "Tecate Museo de Boxeo," which showcases decades of the most memorable moments in the sport.
