ALA-COBRA TUNAY NA LAKAS BOXING TOUR MAKES HISTORY IN BORACAY

The Philippines premier boxing promotions company ALA Promotions and Cobra Energy Drink made history over the weekend by pulling off one of the rarest of boxing shows ever in Philippine history by successfully making possible the first ever professional boxing event in the world class beaches of Boracay in Aklan.
Sports tourism was highlighted during the ALA-Cobra Tunay na Lakas Boxing at Station 2 last Saturday as hundreds foreign and local tourists were treated to world class boxing match-ups all throughout the evening. The fight card was headlined by Aklan native Mhar Jun Macahilig who stopped in his tracks Ryan Tampus in the 2nd round with his relentless but methodical demolition of his foe.
The history making event would not have been made possible without the help of the Aklan Provincial Government headed by Governor Carlito S. Marquez and Mayor John Yap of the Municipality of Malay. The ALA-Cobra dynamic partnership is now in its fourth year of developing world class fighters and showcasing these said boxers all throughout the Philippines.
