CUELLO VS RACHMAN IN BAKBAKAN SA ILIGAN

PhilBoxing.com

September 25, 2010 will a big night for boxing aficionados in Iligan City as Denver ?The Excitement? Cuello of Jaro Boxing Gym defends his WBC International Minimumweight Belt against former IBF Mini Flyweight Champ and Ring Magazine Rated Mohamad? The Rock? Rachman of Indonesia. This fight means a lot for defending champ Cuello as this will catapult his world ranking should he convincingly beat much more knock out the veteran Indonesian. The event is so far the biggest boxing bout in the City and will be held at the MSU IIT Gym. It is being presented by Jaro Promotions International in cooperation with GMA7 and the City Government of Iligan under the leadership of Honorable Mayor Lawrence Cruz. The event is also supported by Maigo Lanao del Norte Mayor Rafael Risalda.

The supporting bouts will be fought by : Tampos M. Singwangcha (Jaro Stable) vs. Joash Aparecio (Bukidnon), Pumar D. Singwangcha (Jaro Stable) vs. Marvin Fernandez (Bukidnon); Lionel Legada (Jaro Stable) vs. Jade Yagahon (Bukidnon); Jomar Fajardo (Jaro Stable) vs. Rocky Sardido (Davao) and other entertaining matches between boxers from neighboring cities.

Cuello is well known for his exciting aggression inside the ring. His recent victories were all via knock outs. The veteran Rachman is famous for his granite chin and legendary stamina. He has never been knocked out in his entire career. Thus a knock out victory for Cuello will be a big story in the boxing scene and will open doors for bigger fights. In a conversation with Cuello, the Ilongo Champ expressed his plans of moving up to 108 lbs with the approval of his Manager and Mentor Aljoe Jaro. ?108 Lbs Division is richer in terms of exciting opponents and offers better opportunities, I would love to fight the best guys there?, Cuello said.

Bakbakan sa Iligan will surely be an action filled event. Tickets are priced at P1000 for Ringside, P300 for Upper Box and P100 at Lower Box.
