BAUTISTA DEFEATS BOLANOS BY TKO

MANDAUE CITY - The night dubbed as "El Grand Combate" was a major success as the jam-packed Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex saw Rey "Boom2x" Bautista defeat Gilberto Bolanos as the latter retire on his stool come the start of the 6th round. Bautista displayed toughness and agressiveness as he chops Bolanos to pieces with thundering left hooks to the body while scoring a knockdown in round 3.
For round by round:
1st: Both fighter were very hesitant to show their arsenal as they both know they are capable of knocking each other out.
2nd: Bautista starts to attack Bolanos with combinations and there was an exchange of blows
3rd: Bautista came out with guns blazing as he harrassed Bolanos with hooks to the body. After he saw Bolanos legs turning into jelly, he unloaded a vicious uppercut that made Bolanos kiss the canvass.
4th: A cut was suffered by Bolanos but the referree called it as caused by a punch ands there were heavy exchange of blows but Bautista got the better of the exchange. In this round Bautista showed he can also eat some punches.
5th: The cut of Bolanos was beginning to be severe as Bautista took advantage and hits it with jabs and heavy straights. At the end of the round, both fighters were obviously exhausted.
6th: Bolanos corner throws in the towel.
Rey "Boom2x" Bautista was declared a TKO winner for the 12th time in his career and improve his record to 16-0 (12KOs).
