YORDAN EYES LUEVANO TITLE

PhilBoxing.com

An interesting match-up looms in the horizon in Indonesia as promoter Daniel Bahari along with his son Pino Bahari have prepared a slambang affair with Asia's best and busiest respected regional boxing body, staking multiple World Boxing Organization regional championships set forth at Pantianic, Indonesia on June 06, 2009 featuring the best and hottest prospect of the country.

In a conversation with Pino Bahari, the young boxing exec explained that he is matching his prospects with the best that Asia can deliver. "We have Daud Yordan (23win-0loss-17KO) versus Robert Allanic (17win-5loss-2draw-9KO) for the vacant WBO Oriental featherweight title, his younger brother and also prospect contender Yohanes Yordan (9win-0loss-1KO) will be tested against rugged Ricky Sismundo (13win-3loss-4KO) of the Philippines for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific Youth featherweight title and the third championship bout will be former PABA champion Daudy Bahari (38win-3loss-14KO) versus Wakee Salud Stable's JR Solano (19win-10Loss-10KO) for the Interim WBO Asia Pacific title, all from their respected country of Philippines."

Bahari informs that their intention is to win these titles. It will be very big and an important event for all three contenders, as they will get the opportunity to be placed highly in the WBO world ranking.

Meanwhile, Daud Yordan who is currently ranked #3 in the world is eyeing up Steven Luevano for the world title. "We had approached their team after the Robert Guerrero bout, but they refuse to fight my boxer Yordan, after how we made Robert Guerrero quit they don't want to fight us," Bahari said.

"However, with this regional WBO Oriental title we plan to win against a respected opponent from the ALA Gym, Steven Luevano will have no choice but to fight us next as a mandatory," Bahari added.

Just recently, a reliable source from the United States had informed promoter and International matchmaker Sampson Lewkowicz that Luevano is injured with a detached eye retina.

"I don't know how true this is however, we would have no problem fighting the next available contender for the Interim World WBO featherweight title either with Juarez or Bernabe Concepcion. I will leave it to our promoter to decide. We will ask our promoter and hopefully the World Boxing Organization can consider a world mandated Interim title match immediately, if this is true," Bahari explained.

Yordan recently had a draw with former IBF world champion Robert Guerrero for the NABO regional strap where Yordan showed tremendous skills and power that made him look on the verge of winning against Guerrero. However, the bout was stopped in the early rounds because of a accidental cut sustained above the eye of Guerrero by a clash of heads that ended in a no contest.
