TANAMOR IN WORLD CUP FINALS By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Sun, 14 Dec 2008 Veteran Olympian Harry Tanamor has made up for his dissppointing performance in the Beijing Olympic Games by putting on an impressive performance to enter the finals of tnghe highly competitive World Cup of the International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA) in Moscow. With eight of the top fighters in the world in each weight division invited to compete in Moscow, Tanamor capitalized on a favorable draw to enter the finals with a 12-4 victory over Poland's tough Lukascz Masczczyk in tnhe semi finals to arrange a showdown with stylish Cuban Yampier Hernandez for the gold medal. The 31 year old Tanamor who qualified for the Beijing Olympics by winning a silver medal in the World Championships in Chicago in 2007 pounded the Polish fighter from the opening bell capitalizing on his longer reach and excellent defense.
