Llover takes on former world champ this Sunday

CURRENT Orient and Pacific Bantamweight Federation [OPBF] bantamweight champion Kenneth “The Lover Boy” Llover takes on ex-WBC king Luis “El Nica” Concepcion of Panama on August 17 at the Winford Resort and Casino in Manila. The highly anticipated bout is scheduled for 10 rounds non-title fight in the super flyweight division.
The 22-year-old Llover [14-0-0, 9KO] of General Trias, Cavite recently won the OPBF bantamweight title by knocking out Japanese Keita Kurihara in the 1st round last March 24 at Korakuen Hall in Japan.
Llover earlier stopped Tulio Dekanarudo of Japan in the 1st round by a technical knockout to win the OPBF Interim title last December 15, 2024 at Sumiyoshi Sports Center in Osaka.
Concepcion [40-11-0, 29KOs] is making a comeback after a one year absence.
His last fight was losing by an 8th round TKO against David Cuellar Contreras last October 2023 in Cancun.
Concepcion is a former WBC Silver flyweight and super flyweight champion.
The boxing event, dubbed as “Mano a Mano” is promoted by Gerry Penalosa of GerryPens Promotions.
